HORS SUJET

A bespoke tailoring house and social enterprise offering free handmade clothing and paid employment training to vulnerable LGBTQI+ youth

At Hors Sujet (pronounced ‘or sue-jay’), we make classic bespoke suits for anyone interested in placing an order with us. The profits generated by these commissions help us provide a free tailoring service to transgender and gender nonconforming individuals in financial difficulty, as well as paid tailoring internships for at-risk queer fashion and costume students.

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH

QUEER TAILORING

Part of our mission is to provide transgender and gender nonconforming vulnerable youth with correctly fitting, gender-affirming suits. The garments we provide are so important in empowering individuals to live as their authentic selves.

WHY IS TAILORING FOR TRANS AND GNC PEOPLE IMPORTANT?

INTERNSHIPS

Both finishing higher education and entering the garment industry can be challenging for some members of the queer community. Paid internships are a way for such individuals to help fund their studies whilst increasing their skillset, making them more eligible for employment once they’ve completed their courses.

WHY MIGHT A QUEER PERSON NEED ADDITIONAL SUPPORT AT UNIVERSITY?

BESPOKE

We generate the majority of our revenue through bespoke tailoring commissions. If you would like to support our cause by having a suit made with us, click below to learn about our cut, process and prices.

HOW IS HORS SUJET FUNDED?

DONATE

Our donation campaigns are a way of utilizing Hors Sujet’s platforms and outreach, by raising funds for a variety of LGBTQI+ causes.
